Braces for Adults
Healthy teeth can be moved at almost any age. One in five patients in braces these days are adults. Many adult patients who had braces were pleasantly surprised how their treatment actually took much shorter than they originally thought it would.
Orthodontics can help you attain a more pleasant, youthful looking smile. In the majority of cases this can be done without having to remove enamel or placing artificial restorations on your teeth. Braces straighten teeth naturally.
We are proud of your reputation as a leading practice providing tooth straightening options for adults. Dr. Rudey is honored to have been voted by his peers as one of Seattle's Top Dentists in Seattle Magazine.
Braces for children
Long after your children have forgotten their new bikes, electronic games and other toys they had to have, you'll still remember. And long after you've both survived summer camp, sleep-overs and driver's ed they'll know how much you loved them because you gave them one thing they'll never outgrow... their own confident, beautiful smile. We are a leading quality oriented private orthodontic practice providing braces in a caring and fun atmosphere.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have an orthodontic evaluation around age 7 to screen for potential dental problems. Severely protruding teeth, dental crowding, narrow upper jaw, and oral habits such as finger/thumb sucking are best managed when detected early. We strive to treat our patients without removing permanent teeth whenever possible. To provide the most treatment options it is best for us to see your child while some of the baby teeth are still present.
Why should you see an Orthodontist if you are interested in Invisalign?
You should see an orthodontist to get the best advice concerning which tooth straightening options fit your specific needs. Members of the American Association of Orthodontists are certified to have completed a minimum of two years full-time post doctoral residency in orthodontics and have agreed to comply with its ethical principles. They can best advise you if you are a good candidate for Invisalign. They will also explain what other treatment options are best for your individual needs.
